One footstep for me would be to confirm whether it's deleted when logging into OWA web app for her email account.

I'm non familiar with the iOS app merely I'd find out exactly what she's doing and if she's actually deleting the electronic mail.  I know on the Outlook app y'all tin define what swiping left/right does.

It has been a while since I touched an iPhone (and done my hands afterward), simply I am almost sure the built-in iOS Post app will delete emails on the telephone and server. However, I believe that in that location is a selection to get in do so and it does not by default.

I merely Googled information technology and it looks as though this may be the setting:  iPhone Settings -> Accounts & Passwords -> your electronic mail account -> Advanced -> INCOMING SETTINGS -> Delete from server, you can cheque NEVER, Seven DAYS, or WHEN REMOVED FROM INBOX. Choose WHEN REMOVED FROM INBOX.

We've experienced this same thing.  Our solutions were a mixture of switching from iOS mail app to the Outlook for mobile app and wait!  From what I understand the app and server sync at pre-adamant intervals so it can take a few hours sometimes for changes made on the phone to prove on the PC.  Notwithstanding from the PC to the phone is much faster.  I'm not a mobile guy or Azure admin then I can't explain why this is but that's what we've been told.

If the mail account is set to Push button method, syncing in either direction should have less than a infinitesimal. Mine typically takes well-nigh 30 seconds to/from my Android phone (Moto g7).

Coincidentally I just bought myself and the married woman G7's at a pregnant disbelieve from Motorola.  Are y'all using the Outlook app or the native mail app (more accurately now, I guess, that'due south Gmail.) I have been using Android for 9 years and have flipped between GMail and Outlook.  There's things I like ameliorate about Outlook, but my biggest gripe with it is that when I read a message or delete a message in Outlook on my computer, the notification stays there on my phone, whereas with GMail, this doesn't happen...the notification disappears if the bulletin is no longer unread or has been deleted or put in a folder.
